“I’m new!”

Nervous? Don’t be!

It’s nerve wracking to step into a church for the first time. We get that! Here’s a bit of a guide so you know what to expect when you come to visit!

What is church like?

The pastor’s in a suit, but nobody else is. We want more than anything that you can be here to hear the Word and to praise God. So don’t worry about feeling uncomfortable or being judged. Our services are a little less than an hour long, and the pastor leads the whole service. We follow a “liturgy,” or an “order” of worship. This helps us to be organized. We typically begin by singing, then we pray, read from Scripture, sing again, listen to a message based in Scripture, sing a third time, confess our faith together and pray the Lord’s prayer. Some Sundays we then celebrate communion. Finally, we close with a blessing and a song. The goal of worship is for God to give rest to your soul through his Word, and for you to ascribe worth to (worship) him above all things.

What Time should I come?

Worship starts at 10 am in English and 11:30 am in Spanish on Sundays.

Where do I go?

If you park in our parking lot, enter the door, and go up the stairs into the sanctuary. Otherwise, if you park on the street, you can go in the double doors on the back side of church and go up the stairs.

What about my kids?

If you have kids, great! Bring them along! Pastor works to have them worship along with their families. Don’t be worried about them being loud or making noise. It’s so important to get our children into the habit of coming to worship with their families!

How many people go?

On a normal Sunday right now, usually around 25-35 people come to English worship (10 am), and around 45-60 come to Spanish worship (11:30 am). This smaller size is great, because we really know each other! At our occasional bilingual services for special events, anywhere from 100-150 people will come.

Enjoy yourself!

We absolutely love coming together, and we even share food together after worship. It’d be great if you stick around to get to know us!

Feel free to reach out before you come!

If you have any worries or questions, please reach out! Pastor will get back with you asap.
