Our Pastor

Hi! My name is Ryan Kolander, and I have served as pastor at Palabra de Vida since summer of 2016. My wife Sarah and I have two daughters, Ella and Nora. We love serving our Lord and our community in Detroit!

I graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Martin Luther College in 2010. Upon graduation, I served a mission in Mexico for one year. Since, I’ve served in all sorts of bilingual settings. Upon graduating with a masters of divinity degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2016, I was assigned to serve Palabra de Vida Detroit.

I love to play sports, especially basketball. I also love eating tacos, especially the ones in our neighborhood. I love meeting people and giving them hope through Jesus. I hope to meet you soon!
